Sichuan Jereh Hengri Natural Gas Engineering Co., Ltd. (“Jereh Hengri”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Jereh Group, has successfully completed commissioning and produced first LNG at the Alxa League Yingtong Energy Co., Ltd. (“Alxa Yingtong”) 85 MMSCFD LNG facility, which Jereh Hengri delivered under an EPC lump-sum turnkey arrangement. The plant has now entered trial production.
Located in the Tengger Economic and Technological Development Zone within the Luanjingtan Ecological Migration Demonstration Area, the project is a priority construction initiative for Alxa League. Once fully operational, it will close the region’s upstream gap in natural gas processing, shifting the local energy economy from pure pipeline transit to value-added processing at the source.

Disciplined EPC execution brings the plant to first liquid on schedule
Jereh Hengri applied its integrated EPC management model across engineering, procurement and construction, sequencing civil, mechanical and commissioning activities in parallel while maintaining strict quality and safety controls. The contractor also adapted construction planning in advance to the low-temperature, high-wind conditions typical of western Inner Mongolia, allowing key milestones to be met without schedule slippage.
Integrated configuration supports multiple product streams
The facility is equipped with a CNG mother station, full-containment LNG storage, and helium recovery units, covering the full chain from liquefaction and storage through loading and by-product extraction. It can simultaneously deliver LNG, CNG and high-purity helium, serving industrial users, residential gas supply and peak-shaving demand. Product offtake will extend across Alxa League, Ningxia and the Hexi Corridor in Gansu.
Downstream and upstream linkages position the plant as a regional growth driver
At full throughput, the facility is expected to become a significant economic anchor for the Luanjingtan Demonstration Area. Its impact runs in both directions along the value chain: upstream, it supports continued investment in gas gathering and pipeline infrastructure; downstream, it connects to LNG trailer logistics, city-gas distribution and industrial direct supply. On-site high-purity helium production also introduces a new industrial category to the region beyond conventional natural gas processing.
Customized design lowers energy intensity and lifts helium recovery
Jereh Hengri tailored the process design to the specific composition of domestic feed gas. While maintaining stable operation and nameplate capacity, the plant’s overall energy consumption is more than 15% below the industry average. By integrating cryogenic liquefaction, boil-off gas (BOG) recovery and helium extraction, the design achieves a helium recovery rate more than 20% above conventional configurations, supporting lower-carbon, lower-cost operations across the asset’s lifecycle.

Jereh Hengri says it will continue to deepen its focus on natural gas and industrial gases, advancing gas processing technologies and delivering additional EPC projects as the sector moves toward higher efficiency and cleaner operations.
